NASA space shuttle replica Explorer takes a scenic boat ride to Houston

The Explorer may have never lifted off into the into the skies like so many other space shuttles (not even on the back of a 747 like the Enterprise), nor was it ever used to train NASA’s finest astronauts, but it did take a nice boat ride across the Gulf of Mexico last week.

Eh, y’know, just a space shuttle [replica] cruisin’ down the water. Whatever, NBD.

Someone needs to start a Tumblr dedicated to incongruous images of space shuttles hanging out in random places.
